A friend no more...
One of my friends was shocked to know that a friend from his school suddenly died of a car accident. I wrote this poem to express his grief.
A friend so dear, A friend so close,
What your mind says, he always knows,
Where thine Hearts meet when ye shake hands,
When his company is fun, on seas and sands,
A friend so cute, A friend so nice,
Where casual chats too get advice,
Where Quarrels are simply reasons for fun,
The games like those by clouds and the sun,
While walking life with the river’s run,
You walked together basking in the Sun,
His support during stumbles were the divine meed,
A friend in need, a friend indeed!
A friend so true, A friend after all,
The sweet memories, now why this gall,
Why the icy hands were for him to have,
O Euphemism! Why was he to die?
A friend now there, a friend now not,
The Almighty should have given a thought,
His memories, now but nectared wine,
Life so queer, why this terrible pine!
